How I work
Services & Pricing
Your session is shaped around how you're feeling, what you'd like addressed, and what feels most supportive that day.
A Responsive Approach
Before we begin, we'll talk about what you've been noticing in your body, any areas you'd like addressed, and what you are hoping for from your session. That gives me a starting point, but I continue paying attention as I work -- to what you tell me, how the tissues respond to touch, and where movement or tension feels different.
Your session may move between broad, flowing work and slower, more focused techniques. I adjust pressure, pace, positioning, and the techniques I use as we go, while keeping your goals for the session at the center of the work.
Techniques
I use a range of massage and bodywork techniques to shape each session around what I'm noticing in your tissues, movement, and response to touch. You don't need to know which technique you need. I'll draw from the approaches that make sense for your body and what we are working on that day.
Swedish
Flowing, rhythmic work that allows me to warm the tissues, assess areas of tension, and transition between more focused techniques. It can also be an important part of helping the body settle into the session.
Deep Tissue
Slower, more focused work used when deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue need attention. "Deep" doesn't automatically mean harder pressure — I adjust depth based on the tissue and how your body responds.
Trigger Point Therapy
Focused pressure used around localized areas of adhesions, particularly when discomfort seems to extend or refer beyond one spot. I incorporate this selectively rather than treating every tight area as something that needs to be forced to release.
Myofascial Techniques
Slow, sustained work that engages the connective tissues surrounding and supporting muscles and other structures. I may use it when an area feels restricted or when slower input allows the tissue more time to respond.
PNF Stretching
A combination of assisted stretching and active muscle contraction used to work with comfortable range of motion. It gives you a small, purposeful role in the technique while I guide the movement.
Passive Stretching
Gentle, therapist-assisted movement through a comfortable range. I may incorporate it when movement feels limited or when an area would benefit from mobility work alongside hands-on massage.
Session Elements
Depending on the focus of your session, I may incorporate additional elements to complement the hands-on work. These are used intentionally and selectively when appropriate. When incorporated into your session, these elements are included at no additional charge.
Hot Stones
Therapeutic warmth may be used in specific areas to prepare tissues for focused work or provide warmth and comfort during the session.
Warm Towels
Warm towels may be incorporated throughout the session for comfort, relaxation, or alongside more focused work.
CBD Topical
May be applied selectively to targeted areas as a topical complement to focused bodywork.
Magnesium Cream
May be applied selectively to targeted areas as a topical complement to the massage techniques being used.
Aromatherapy
Optional essential oils can be incorporated according to your preferences, adding a calming, grounding, or refreshing sensory element to your session.
Session Pricing
Pricing is based simply on the length of your session. There are no additional fees for the techniques or session elements I incorporate into your care.
