About me
My Why
Opening Woven feels like the beginning of something I've been working toward for a long time. I found massage therapy at a point in my life when I was ready for work that felt more meaningful — work that allowed me to care for someone in a tangible way and leave knowing that the time we spent together mattered.
What I didn't expect was how completely this field would hold my attention. I'm fascinated by the body — how much it adapts, compensates, communicates, and responds to what we experience every day. My background in biology gave me a foundation for that curiosity, but massage gave me a way to put it into my hands.
And somewhere along the way, I realized what I love most about this work: my workday gets to be someone else's rest day. There is something incredibly fulfilling for me knowing that the work I do can make a difference in how another person feels in their body and, in some small way, in the quality of their life. I get to care for people for a living. That still feels pretty incredible to me.
Always Learning
This field gives me something I value enormously: the opportunity to keep learning. There is always another layer of physiology to understand, new research to read, or a technique to explore — and I genuinely love that.
If there's something you're curious about or have heard about and want to understand better, ask me. If I don't know the answer, I'm comfortable saying that. Then I'll probably go home and read about it, find the research, or look for continuing education that helps me understand it better — the more I learn, the more I can bring back to the care I give you.
